The story behind Nana Latta
Written by Lies Van Driel for the magazine's Parentpreneur section, the article traces how my Chechen roots, my search for genuinely natural skincare for my son Darius, and a long-standing interest in holistic health turned into a brand. What began as a very personal search has become something other people rely on — and, more recently, something the press has started asking about.
One thread runs through the whole interview: beef tallow, an ingredient used for centuries, is having a comeback. It trends on TikTok as a discovery. In my family it was never lost in the first place.
Tradition meeting modern formulation
As I put it in the interview: “In Chechnya, we use everything from the animal — meat to fat. What's now trending in Belgium as a ‘new skincare discovery' is something we've been doing for centuries. But it works. My skin, and that of many customers, has never felt healthier.”
