The Tallow + Jojoba Minimalist Butter is an unscented, waterless tallow and jojoba butter for face and body: three natural ingredients, whipped by hand in Belgium, 100 ml. Winner of the Gold Award at the International Organic Awards 2025.

How it feels

Whipped light, so it lifts out of the jar easily and melts the moment it meets your skin. Not a layer that sits there — it disappears into you, the way your own skin's oil does. Its fatty acid profile has similarities to the lipids naturally found in skin, which is why it feels so at home. Twenty seconds later there is nothing to feel except skin that has stopped being thirsty. People describe it as their skin coming home.

There is no water in it, so the texture moves with the room: it melts between 40 and 48 °C, which is why it is firmer when it's cold and softer when it's warm. Both are normal, and both behave the same once it's on your fingers.

Three natural ingredients, full transparency

• Grass-fed tallow — slowly rendered, a by-product of the meat industry that would otherwise go to waste. Naturally rich in vitamins A, D, E and K. Palmitic acid 24–28%, oleic acid 30–34% — two of the main fatty acids in your skin's own oil, which is why it absorbs instead of sitting on top.
• Organic jojoba oil — technically a liquid wax, not an oil. A lightweight wax that helps keep the butter from feeling overly heavy.
• Natural vitamin E — an antioxidant that nourishes and softens the skin, and helps protect the oils from oxidation.

Our tallow is cold-rendered by a Belgian family company that has been working with fats since 1815, seven generations and more than two centuries. It is food-grade and halal-certified, purified with natural clay, with no chemical bleaching.

That is the whole formula. There is no water in it, so it doesn't need a conventional water-based preservative system. No emulsifiers. No fragrance, natural or synthetic. No fillers to make the jar look fuller.

How to use it

1. Take a small amount — a pea-sized amount is enough for your whole face.
2. Warm it between your fingertips until it turns soft and oily.
3. Massage it into your face, on dry or slightly damp skin.

Morning and night, on cleansed skin. On body, hands, feet, cuticles and lips you can be more generous.

Used daily on face and body, a 100 ml jar lasts around four to six weeks. On the face alone you will get twelve weeks or more out of it.

What it won't do

This isn't a watery lotion. It's a concentrated balm, so you need very little, and the trick is to use less than you think. It will not foam, it has no scent to speak of, and it does not come with a routine of five other steps. It is not a sunscreen and it is not a medicine.

The analysis of our tallow

The full analysis is online: fatty acid profile, purity, melting point and moisture. Palmitic acid 24–28% and oleic acid 30–34% — two of the main fatty acids in your skin’s own oil.

Halal certificate

Our tallow is halal certified, and that certificate is published too. In this butter tallow is the only animal ingredient — the jojoba and the vitamin E are plant-derived.

As a Belgian brand we fall under EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. Every product has a safety assessment on file before it can be sold.
