At Nana Latta, we believe skincare starts with trust. That’s why we openly share our certificates, so you can be sure you’re choosing safe, natural skincare with tallow.
The analysis of our tallow
This is the full analysis of the tallow we use: fatty acid profile, purity, melting point and moisture content. We publish it so you do not have to take our word for what is in the jar.
Palmitic acid 24–28% and oleic acid 30–34% — the same two fatty acids that make up most of your own skin’s oil, which is why tallow absorbs instead of sitting on top. Under 0.05% moisture, which is why this needs no preservative.
As a Belgian brand we fall under EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009: every product has a safety assessment on file before it can be sold.
Halal certificate
Our tallow is halal certified, and this is the certificate. It covers the tallow — the ingredient at the heart of every formula — rather than the finished product, and we would rather say that plainly than leave it vague.
In the Tallow + Jojoba Minimalist Butter, tallow is the only animal ingredient: the organic jojoba and the natural vitamin E are plant-derived.
